Meet the Gallus team of recovery experts

At Gallus Detox Centers, you’ll find a team of board-certified physicians, ICU-level registered nurses, and medical care technicians, all with backgrounds in critical care and emergency medicine. They have over 75 years of combined work experience helping patients suffering from alcohol and substance use disorders.

The goal of each Gallus team member is to compassionately and professionally guide you through every phase of your detox treatment.

Patrick J. Gallus, DO

Patrick J. Gallus, DO

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Gallus is a board-certified emergency medicine physician. He obtained his B.S. in Health and Physical Education from the University of Montana, and his D.O. from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. He completed his emergency medicine residency at Texas A&M University, Scott & White Memorial Hospital. As the Chief of Staff at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott Arizona, he developed two emergency departments with a staff of 18 board-certified physicians that saw 72,000 patients a year. Dr. Gallus has over 15 years of experience treating drug- and alcohol-related issues.

Gina Carroll, RN

Director of Nursing

Gina’s compassion and understanding is reflected by everyone on the Gallus Detox staff and passed on to each and every patient. She has worked in and around the medical field since 1994. Gina has many nursing certifications including Advanced Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Prior to joining the Gallus Detox team, she was the administrator and human resources director at a large private practice in the Prescott, Arizona, area. In addition to her career, Gina enjoys her family, hiking, biking, and traveling.

Geffen Liberman LISAC, CRADC, CPC

Geffen Liberman LISAC, CRADC, CPC

Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor

Geffen has been in the field for over 20 years and has worked in multiple treatment settings. Geffen is uniquely equipped to help each individual develop an aftercare plan and find options that work to meet their needs. Having overcome addiction himself, Geffen can relate to each patient’s desire to get back into the flow of life. Geffen uses a non-judgmental, patient-centered approach. Geffen is licensed in Arizona as a substance abuse counselor and has an IC&RC certification, as well as a life coaching certification.

Lynn Grieger RDN, CDE, CPT, CHWC

Lynn Grieger RDN, CDE, CPT, CHWC

Dietician

Lynn has been a registered dietitian/nutritionist for 32 years and has advanced certification as a certified diabetes educator, certified personal trainer, and certified health and wellness coach. She has consulted in drug and alcohol addiction treatment centers for the past 6 years, providing practical nutrition information for recovery and helping clients include healthy food choices into their lifestyle. She enjoys being outside as much as possible, hiking, running, and enjoying the Arizona sunshine.

Steve Carleton LCSW, CACIII

Steve Carleton LCSW, CACIII

Clinical Director

Steve worked in the Department of Veterans Affairs for 10 years. He is a PTSD and substance use disorder expert with over 14 years of experience in and around addiction. Steve is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social work. He teaches cognitive behavioral therapies, Motivational Interviewing, assessment skills using DSM-5, amongst others.

Paige Laidig, RN

Director of Nursing, Scottsdale

Paige has been a registered nurse for 20 years, specializing in substance use disorders. She obtained her associates degree in 2000 from Monroe Community College where excelled in her program, achieving the excellence in nursing award for her graduating class. Paige later obtained her bachelors in 2013 at Grand Canyon University. Paige has a very close relationship with recovery and understands whole heartedly — both professionally and personally — the devastating grip of addiction. She has a sincere compassion and dedication to help those with substance use disorders. Paige thrives on being a present mom today, to two beautiful daughters, who both are succeeding in many areas of dance, singing and acting. When Paige is not actively working or with her daughters, you can find her in the gym lifting weights and taking care of herself spiritually, mentally and physically.
