The Steps of the Gallus Alcohol and Drug Detox Method

  1. We utilize a Team approach. Our patient’s detox team includes Board Certified Physicians, Registered Nurses with ICU/ER qualifications, Addiction Psychologist and the patient themselves.
  2. A Psychological and Social assessment is performed to determine the patient’s mental condition.
  3. A Physical Assessment is performed including vital signs, lab testing, history, and a physical exam.
  4. The detox team meets to develop a customized treatment plan which is implemented immediately.
  5. It is our firm belief that IV-based medication therapy is the only safe and effective option to treat withdrawal symptoms.
  6. The patient is fully monitored with cardiac telemetry, video technology and personal attention from our Registered Nurses and Technicians on duty 24 hours a day.

Questions to Help You Compare Alcohol

First, while talking with any detox center, notice how they make you feel. Do you feel they truly care? Do you feel they genuinely want to help you or your loved one? Do you feel you can trust them?   • In the event of the need for hospital care does your center have a professional relationship or “transfer agreement” with the nearest hospital?
  • Does the detox center have upscale private rooms or will you have to share a room with another patient?
