At Gallus Detox Centers, you’ll find a team of Board Certified Physicians, ICU-Level Registered Nurses, and Medical Care Technicians, all with backgrounds in critical care units and emergency rooms. They have over 75 years of combined work experience helping patients suffering from alcoholism and drug related addictions. Patrick J. Gallus, DO
Chief of Medicine
Dr. Gallus is a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician. He obtained his B.S. in Health and Physical Education from University of Montana, and his D.O. from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. He completed his emergency medicine residency at Texas A&M University, Scott and White Memorial Hospital. Since moving to Prescott Arizona he has developed 2 emergency departments, seeing 72,000 patients a year with a staff of 18 board certified physicians. Dr. Gallus has over 15 years of experience treating drug and alcohol related issues. Currently he is Chief of Staff at Yavapai Regional Medical Center overseeing 270 board certified physicians.
Gina Carroll, RN
COO & Registered Nurse:
Gina’s compassion and understanding is reflected by all the Gallus Detox staff and passed on to each and every patient. She has worked in and around the medical field since 1994. Gina has many nursing certifications including Advanced Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Prior to joining the Gallus Detox team, she was the Administrator and Human Resources Director at a large private practice in the Prescott, Arizona, area. In addition to her career, Gina enjoys her family, hiking, biking, and traveling.
Kimberly Crooks, MS, LASAC
Licensed Associate Substance Abuse Counselor
Kimberly earned her BA in Applied Human Behavior with Summa Cum Laude honors at Northern Arizona University and her Master of Science degree in Addiction Counseling at Grand Canyon University. Kimberly uses a person-centered, motivational approach that puts our patients at ease and encourages them to take the next step towards recovery. By thoroughly assessing each patient’s needs, Kimberly develops a comprehensive treatment plan that includes her recommendations for aftercare services which are critical for success.
Shannon Weir, Registered Nurse
Director of Facility and Nursing Services
Shannon has been a Registered Nurse for over 22 years with most of her experience in critical care. While working in a medical detox ward of a hospital in Utah, she realized this specialized field was the place for her. After moving to Arizona, Shannon wanted to continue dedicating herself to helping patients through this crucial phase of recovery so she contacted Dr. Gallus. Shannon says, “I’m thankful to be part of the Gallus Detox team and can’t imagine working at a better place!” Shannon is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant (CLNC) and her certificates include Advanced Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Away from work, she enjoys running, hiking, yoga and spending time with her three children.
