Addiction Medicine Matters
When it comes to getting help for alcohol and drug abuse, “medical detox” services vary widely including:
- Outpatient detox treatment with repeat visits to a physician
- Inpatient detox in a rehab facility with an initial meeting and possible follow-up meetings with on-call doctors
- Inpatient detox in a rehab facility that provides vitamin supplements
- Inpatient detox in a psychiatric hospital or mental health clinic
The Gallus Method— Inpatient medical detox in a luxury clinic including:
- Board-certified physicians and critical care nurses in a private setting.
- A customized treatment plan for your comfort and safety in recovery.
The Gallus Method difference is an advanced combination of patient safety, comfort, and support. Every person is different so we strive to create a plan that best suits your specific medical detox needs while respecting your privacy.
From the moment you arrive, we talk to you to get better insight into where you are at on your personal recovery journey. Even if you do not have a clear plan on how to get from where you are currently to where you want to be, that is ok. You may not know what’s next for you after detox but your long-term success is always important.
Read what our past patients have to say about the care and treatment you receive at our facilities. If you have been through detox anywhere else you will immediately recognize the difference. At Gallus Detox Centers, we will always treat you as a human being in need of help.
“In the past the detox clinics were either unbearable or they loaded me up so much that I was far more drugged up than before. The way Dr. Gallus handled my situation was perfect…”
Dr. Gallus believes a medical detox can and should be delivered in a safe, supportive environment with dignity, and respect.
What is a Non-Medical Detox?
A non-medical detox provides you with much lower medical supervision. Many times the critical care processes and procedures used by Gallus Detox Centers are missing or non-existent.
A non-medical detox can’t provide the level of safety and comfort needed for you to be successful in the detox process. Attempting to quit on your own by going “cold-turkey” can be frightening, painful, and even life-threatening.
Before considering a non-medical detox you need to consider the type, amount, and how long the drug was being used. You must also think about your overall medical health to determine if a non-medical detox is even possible in your situation.
