What is it?

It’s an incredibly dangerous, toxic, and often fatal version of fentanyl, a synthetic opioid, that resembles candy or sidewalk chalk. It has been found across the country in the past couple of weeks, from Oregon to West Virginia.

How do people get it?

Through illegal drug markets. Drug dealers are targeting youth with this colorful substance disguised as candy.

How is it dangerous?

It has a heroin-like effect and is highly addictive. Fentanyl has become a popular additive due to its easiness in creating a high, making it a cheaper option. As a company, we are seeing 88% of our opiate patients testing positive for Fentanyl, and many patients are unaware they were being given fentanyl.
